Episode from 1-26-2025

I honestly don’t know why I’m even trying to blog anymore in my life. I’ve done it more recently to my detriment than anything else. All I know is that with two shows this year being related to what I’d call the Sherlock Holmes franchise (this being one of them), then I might as well start a blog about this show in addition to the other one that will premiere later on the CW. I blogged about Elementary back when that was on as this link proves:

I will talk about current events and as it relates to politics only once in English in this blog. There was a terror threat by Afghan people or at least one person that was going to happen on Election Day if the guy weren’t caught before such a thing could happen. Now some would argue that the real threat that had happened on Election Day last year was who the majority of the country wanted a president for no good reason. But I did research and learned that there are two languages in Afghanistan. One is Dari and the other is Pashto. I’m going to put Pashto paragraphs in this blog. They may not be in every post.

This episode is airing after a football game. I try to talk about whatever sports air before the show that I blog about. In the event that multiple shows that I blog about air after sports, I only put it in the first blog that would cover it. This is a lead out program after the AFC championship game.

It was at around before 6 that I tuned into the game between the Chiefs and the Bills. It is early in the game and the Chiefs are winning. I’d be okay with either team winning. What I want to know is who won the NFC. Did the Commanders avenge the loss of the Rams to the Eagles earlier in the postseason? Or will the Eagles be in the Super Bowl again? I don’t know the score of the other game yet. The Rams are my team although I did ironically root for the Eagles in a different postseason after they eliminated the team that took out the team that beat the Rams, in that case, the Falcons. The Eagles won their first Super Bowl that year.

The Bills take the lead later into the game in the second quarter. A touchdown gives them a two point lead and they get a third point. With both of these teams being undefeated at home, it is worth noting that this is a home game for the Chiefs. Will they be able to continue this? And who is the “home” team for the Super Bowl? Is it the winner of this game or the NFC?

The Chiefs wind up taking the lead again. Since I learned that the Eagles will be in the Super Bowl, this means that I have a lot riding on this game. While I didn’t make any bets with anyone, I will be wanting whoever wins this game to win the Super Bowl.

As for the score of the game, the Bills took the lead at one point, then the Chiefs took the lead again, then the score was tied (is a tie better than a 2 point conversion?), then the Chiefs took the lead one last time. With less than two minutes left in the game, it’s anyone’s game. Ultimately, no one else scores after the Chiefs take the lead giving them the win and the chance for a threepeat or Chiefpeat. I guess that the home team benefit helped the Chiefs again. I’ll check to see if they are the home team again for the Super Bowl. And we’ll see if they win with that pattern or not.

It was sometime after 9:15 (I think) when the show started. It starts in an exciting way. Moriarty, Sherlock, and Watson go over a waterfall. According the Shinwell Johnson, Watson was the only one who was fished out alive. Watson has a traumatic brain injury and can’t remember some of the events going up to the incident.

Erica is a pregnant woman who is experiencing signs of a problem. She sees face melting going on and runs out in fear to an oncoming car. Watson learns of her case while also dealing with his team and what he remembers of Moriarty, a man with an m shaped hand.

The second act has Watson wanting to investigate the case more. Does this woman have FFI? Or does she have other problems? She hasn’t slept in days. There could be problems with her pregnancy. It could be stress that is keeping her awake. Watson isn’t convinced that it is FFI yet. She is negative for it. But what is she positive for? He unintentionally picked his crime partner, Sherlock, over his wife. But there is some lie that he made to his patient. What is it? She seems to go blind.

The third act has Erica unable to smile. She needs a bone marrow transplant. She has a brother that they need to find. This might be the only way that Erica and her baby survives. Shinwell drives Watson around and talks about Sherlock. Damien is the name of this brother. He is using a fake ID with the name of Christopher on it. The students of Watson explain why they were picked. There are twins. There is a woman who was adopted from China into a wealthy Dallas suburb. And they don’t know why Ingrid is there yet. Meanwhile, Erica’s cousin comes in with the same symptoms.

The fourth act has the team acting like the cousin might have caught the disease from Erica even if that might not have been the case. Watson realizes after different hypotheses that it was likely salmonella from the cat that they might have helped. Meanwhile, Watson is hiding symptoms from his brain injury that Ingrid notices. It turns out that only one of them has songbird fever. Autumn is the name of the cousin. It turns out that Autumn is a sister and not a cousin. She has the same father as Erica.

The fifth act has Watson giving the good news to Erica who will recover her sight. Both she and her baby will live. But Autumn is having issues still and needs to be taken to surgery. A storm prevents the surgeon who is supposed to get there from getting there, but things work out. The sisters get used to their new relationship. Ingrid was hired because she lied about a role that she played. She is giving him one more shot. Watson wonders who his ex is living with now. It is a woman of some sort. She might not have been the reason he survived his fall. There is a new case. We also learn to little surprise that Moriarty is alive and he talks to Shinwell.

On the next Watson, there are a lot of unusual cases going on at the Holmes clinic. A woman thinks that someone is eating inside of her. Someone is replacing Watson’s true prescriptions with other pills that have a bad effect on him. We’ll see which of these are focused on in the next one when the show returns after a long wait. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
